May 23, 2009 · Coosa Bluewater has woven roving within the board which eliminates the need to glass both sides from a structural standpoint. At 26 lbs/cu ft, it is lighter than plywood which is about 32-38 lbs/cu ft for A/C fir or marine ply. It wont rot, so you don't have to worry about the future of the boat. Starboard is heavy and flexible, coosa is light and stiff. Coosa also lets you use normal adhesives like 4200. Not cheap, but neither is starboard.
